Report summary
TurkStream is a 31.5 bcm (3,048 mmcfd) new-build gas pipeline consisting of two 15.75 bcm (1,524 mmcfd) strings, linking Russia and Turkey via the Black Sea. TurkStream replaced the 63 bcm South Stream project, which was cancelled in December 2014.The first string will supply the Turkish market. The second string is supposed to deliver gas to south and south-east Europe (SEE). The construction of the offshore part of the first string started on 7 May 2017.
