A flurry of recent deals has made Gabon an M&A hotspot in the region. Perenco further cemented its position as Sub-Sahara's pre-eminent mature-field experts by sealing a $350million deal with Total Gabon to acquire 12 oil fields. FPSO owner operators BW Offshore continued its strategic move into upstream equity participation with its second deal in Gabon this year. In Congo, NewAge is expected to deliver FLNG contract to consortium of SBM Offshore and JGC; Total selects three groups for Lake Albert FEED project; Total’s first FPSO to Block 32 Kaombo faces a six month delay; Equatorial Guinea’s licensing round is extended again; Eni brings Block 15/06 Eastern Hub onstream five months ahead of schedule; Senegal cancels licensing round; Vicente faces corruption charges from Portuguese state courts; and NPDC terminates contracts with Seven Energy for OML 4, 38 and 41.
