The Skjold field is located in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) Contiguous Area, between the Gorm and Halfdan fields, in the Danish offshore sector. The field produces oil and gas from a naturally fractured chalk reservoir.The Skjold oil field was developed as an unmanned satellite of Gorm in the 1980s, commencing production in 1982.
