The Sakhalin-2 project is the first onstream LNG project in Russia and one of only three developments operated under PSC terms. The contract area on the Sakhalin shelf comprises two separate blocks, each enclosing a major field: the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil and gas field to the north and the Lunskoye gas condensate field to the south.
