Report summary
The Narrows Lake project is located in the Athabasca oil sands region of Alberta, 120 kilometres to the south of Fort McMurray. Narrows Lake's bitumen will be recovered using a combination of Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and Solvent Aided Process (SAP). The project received regulatory approval in May 2012, with work at the project site beginning in September 2012 and initial construction in August 2013.
