Mozambique's oil and gas industry is developing. 85 kboe/d is produced at Sasol's onshore Pande-Temane gas fields. The offshore Rovuma basin contains 125 tcf of discovered gas resources, which remains largely undeveloped. TotalEnergies' Area 1 licence holds 60 tcf, which is due to be developed via the 13.12 mmtpa Mozambique LNG onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) project.
