The LLA-16 block contains the Kona, Malawi, Sulawesi, and Java discoveries. Kona is the largest field. It was discovered in 2010 and was the first to be brought onstream. Malawi and Sulawesi were abandoned in 2014. Java development was placed on hold in 2015. The LLA-16 block is located in the Llanos basin, and contains the Kona, Supremo, Malawi, Java and Sulawesi discoveries. The geology is complex and drilling operations can be difficult. The reservoirs are stacked pay with five different zones so far identified: the C7, the Upper C7, the Gachetá, the Une and the Mirador at depths of between 3,353 and 4,039 metres.
