Little Burn is a small oil and gas field located just east of the Phoenix field (previously named Typhoon). Little Burn was discovered by BHP Billiton in July 2005 and was to be developed as a single-well subsea tie-back to Chevron's Typhoon mini-TLP. Before the well could be completed for production and commissioned, the facility capsized and was destroyed in September 2005 after Hurricane Rita passed directly over it.
