Report summary
Changuleh is one of Iran's more recent discoveries. The field lies within the prolific Zagros fold-belt and is located in the Ilam province, 50 kilometres southeast of Mehran city and 5 kilometres north of the Iran-Iraq border. It is strategically significant for Iran. It shares hydrocarbon resources with Iraq's Badra field via Azar field.The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) owns this field, with an estimated 4.8 billion barrels of stock tank oil initially in place (STOIIP).
