The Bualuang field is located in Block B8/38, in the west of the Gulf of Thailand. It was brought onstream in 2008 and developed in four phases. During the first phase, the field development included four development wells, a water disposal well, and a wellhead platform (WHP) tied back to a leased floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The second phase included development drilling during 2009-11 and installing a second WHP in 2012. In the third phase, processing facilities were installed on the second WHP, and the FPSO was replaced by an FSO in 2014.
