About the report
This global PV report covers recent developments in the PV O&M industry as they relate to trends, technologies, costs and prices. The solar PV market is expected to grow to 116.3 GW by 2023, representing a major growth opportunity for solar operations and maintenance (solar O&M) providers.
This report is also available as part of our PV Technology Systems & Operations Service.
Despite stakeholders' expectations, the solar operations and maintenance market became less consolidated in 2018, as the top 5 global vendors lost market share. Four of the 11 countries examined in this report consolidated, however, three out of four markets only consolidated by 1%. This is partly due to the fact that the solar operations and maintenance market experienced the same general trends as in 2017. Price pressure remained a main factor for providers, forcing vendors globally to compete at small prices. Additionally, vendors kept on exploring the use of solar O&M technology and advanced analytical software in order to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and grow margins.
