Report summary
Following depletion of the Uchaly open pit in 2007, ore is mined from four underground mines, namely, Uzel'ginsky, Uchaly, Talganskoye and Molodezhny. In 2008 pre-stripping at a new open pit mine, Zapadno-Ozerny commenced with ore production following in 2010 and closing in 2011. Production from Novo-Unchaly was anticipated from 2021/2022. Ore from the operating mines feeds the Uchaly concentrator. Uchaly produces separate copper and zinc concentrates.
