Shuikoushan zinc smelter

Report summary
The zinc smelter comprises two roasting plants with their own sulphuric acid units, leaching, purification, electrolysis and casting. From 2014, a new oxygen pressure leaching line fed by bulk concentrates was installed. There is a small distillation refinery, capacity 10kt/a, which is used to refine purchased crude zinc to SHG. Therefore total capacity of Shuikoushan is estimated at 80 kt/a slab zinc from 2004.
