The Red Mountain gold project is located approximately 18km east of the town of Stewart, in northwestern British Columbia. In January 2019, the project received the federal government's environmental approval to construct the mine. In May 2020, Ascot Resources provided an updated feasibility study combining the Premier and Red Mountain projects. The updated Feasibility study is based on sourcing ore from four deposits; Silver Coin, Big Missouri, Premier and Red Mountain. The nameplate capacity of the of the refurbished processing plant is 2,500tpd and will consist of crushing, grinding, a carbon-in-leach circuit, electrowinning and smelting to produce a gold and silver doré. The revised mine life is now 8 years, producing 1.1Moz gold over the life of mine.
