Ganfeng's wholly owned Mariana lithium project is located in Argentina's Salta Province. The project covers the Salar de Llullaillaco, spanning 32,436 hectares across 18 mining and exploration licences. Situated 290 km west of Salta city and 25 km from the Chile-Argentina border, Mariana aims to produce 20,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of lithium chloride, equivalent to about 17,590 tpa of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). The operation involves extracting brine from Salar de Llullaillaco and transporting it by rail to a processing plant in Güemes. Construction commenced in 2022, with first production at the end of 2024.
