The East Region comprises the Orlovsky (Zhezkent), Belousovsky, Irtyshsky, Nikolayevsky, Yubileyno-Snegirikhinsky and Artemyevsky underground mines together with four concentrators named Orlovsky, Berezovsky, Irtyshsky and Nikolayevsky. Our analysis also now includes the Bozymchak open pit mine located over the border in Kyrgystan which started production in 2014. In October 2014, the assets formerly included under the Kazakhmys group were restructured and divided into two new entities, KAZ Minerals and Cuprum Holding. London-listed KAZ Minerals now owns the East Region assets, including Bozymchak in Kyrgytstan, in addition to two major new open pit projects, Aktogay and Bozshakol.
