Wood Mackenzie's Q2-2025 Global Copper Mine Cost Summary assesses cost inflation to be tamed by higher by product credits, better grades and historically low TCRCs in 2025. For 2025, we project global C1 cash sustaining capital expenditure to decline to 179.4 c/lb, representing a 9% reduction from 2024. From a macroeconomic perspective, inflation continues to be the most significant upward driver for mine costs, and its influence has slightly intensified compared to our Q1 analysis. We expect higher grades, by product credits and lower TCRCs to ease the cost pressures.
