Report summary
Based on the June 2016 Technical Report, Lundin Gold was expected to develop an underground mine and a 3.5kt/d ore processing gold plant with production starting by January 2020 and ending by 2033. The initial capital investment is estimated at US$668.7 million (2016$). Average annual gold production was expected to be around 415koz. By Mid 2019 the project was being developed under schedule. To August 2019 the construction had advanced to 78% complete. The commissioning stage was expected for November 2019 and commercial production was expected for Q2 2020. Our analysis estimates production from January 2020.
