Report summary
Enterprise is a nickel sulphide operation in the north-western portion of the Trident project. First Quantum Minerals wholly owns the Trident project, which comprised Enterprise Nickel Project and Sentinel Copper Project. The company developed Enterprise as an integral part of Sentinel, creating operational synergies between the two. Enterprise's path to commercial production faced delays due to market conditions. However, the project regained momentum in March 2020 with an updated technical report, including a new mineral resources estimate. Following board approval in May 2022, pre-stripping activities began, leading to the production and sale of the first nickel concentrate in 2023. Commercial production began in June 2024.
