In the early hours of 13 June, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, escalating tensions with significant consequences for global oil and gas markets. In response, Israel has halted operations at its Leviathan and Karish fields, suspending exports to Egypt and Jordan. Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz — through which nearly 20% of the world's LNG exports and close to 20% of global oil production pass — is now facing disruptions.
