Since the Russia-Ukraine conflict started, skyrocketing gas prices in Europe have weighed a risk premium of a total interruption of Russian gas flows in Europe. But European storage levels have improved, and winter is ending. So, is Europe now in a better position to cope with Russian supply disruptions? This insight analyses what happens if all Russian supply is disrupted by mid-March, what measures Europe can take in this extreme scenario and assess the possible level of demand curtailments through to 2022 and winter 2022-2023.
