The Southern Cone gas integration enters a new chapter with the development of Argentina's northern infrastructure. Starting in Q4 2024, Argentina will begin exporting gas to Brazil via Bolivia, creating a win-win-win scenario for all three countries. However, Argentinian gas will face competition from domestic producers and Bolivian gas for market share in Brazil. At the same time, Northern Chile has expressed a strong interest in Argentinian gas. Nevertheless, these exports do not fully address Argentina's summer gas surplus, making LNG exports a viable solution, though Argentinian LNG will need to improve its competitiveness against US LNG.
