Report summary
Willow Creek is a metallurgical coal mine in Canada's Peace River Valley. It normally produces both hard coking coal and PCI coal for international markets. In 2013, production of hard coking coal was curtailed due to market conditions, and as of 15 April 2014, Walter announced that all production at the mine would be suspended immediately. Conuma Coal purchased Walter's NE BC assets, including Willow Creek. Conuma restarted the mine in June 2018. It is Conuma's highest-cost mine of the three operations.
