
Malcolm has more than 25 years energy industry experience, joining Wood Mackenzie’s Upstream Consulting Team in 2007 having spent ten years working across the world in the oilfield service sector. He has worked with and advised a diverse range of international clients, including, Majors, NOCs, IOCs, financial institutions, industry bodies and OFS companies.
Malcolm's work has followed the trajectory of the industry with growth-focused advisory evolving increasingly into leading energy transition-related work. Strategy development, due diligence and market analysis have been consistent themes. Malcolm directed a key report on the North Sea's energy transition for the Net Zero Technology Centre which brought together the different themes and technologies of the emerging integrated energy system.
Malcolm’s industry experience has exposed him to a wide range of operators and many different locations, including the North Sea, Africa, Russia and Caspian, Middle East and Latin America. He is a highly engaged individual with a deep interest in the energy business who very much enjoys working with clients to address their questions and challenges and to provide solutions.
