
April leads our discovered resources research within the Subsurface team, and is focused on intelligence and analysis, engaging with industry players and cultivating insights that support clients’ strategic decision-making.
April first joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2019 as a senior analyst on our Canada Upstream Research team. She moved into the Subsurface research team in 2021 and spent 18 months managing the Global Unconventional Plays Service.
Earlier in her career, April worked as a senior geologist at several junior to intermediate oil and gas companies. In addition to technical and operations geology, she also worked on reserves evaluation, company strategy and A&D activities, with particular focus on tight oil and gas plays.

April is also registered as a Professional Geologist in the province of Alberta.
